Lies (Kumi Koda song)

"Lies" is a J-pop song by singer Kumi Koda. The lyrics are written by her and the music is written and arranged by Yanagiman. The song is the ending theme of Asahi TV's show and is also used in a commercial for music.jp. The song appears on Koda's 6th album ''Best: Second Session'', and it is the 5th single of Kumi Koda's ''12 Single Collection''.
Like most of the singles in the ''12 Single Collection'', "Lies" is also limited to 50,000 copies only. The single made its debut in the on January 4, 2006 at #9, and peaked at #7 in the the following week.
The love interest in the music video is played by actor Shogen Itokazu, best known for his role as young Gouken in Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist.

As with the other 11 singles in this collection, the cover of the single represents a stylized version of a traditional dress from a culture; this time it draws its inspiration from China.
